We have been sitting here pondering what we want to do if and when music ever comes back, It’s not gonna be easy.
There will be a vast amount of people needing to blow off some steam after this pandemic. How to do it safely not for just the people but for the bands too is gonna be a question.
The Music industry was the first to shut down and will be the last to come back. The first attempt was to limit the capacity of the clubs to 50 people in total, Clubs staff, band and patrons. On top of that No advertising of bands is allowed. When we have a band with 11 people in it, a clubs staff, we can get in maybe 10-12 people. We are gonna have to adjust the way we door things. We have come up with an idea and have approached a few places.
We have always intended the 420FM Super Meltdown TripFest and the 420 Funk Mob to be a scene more than just a band. The desire in mind was to built a like minded community from coast to coast as well as world wide. This just might be a unique chance to really build that.
When we come out of this pandemic we are gonna be faced with multiple problems. A even smaller number of venues, or more likely new venues, both capital short. An over abundance of bands looking for places to play on Money Nights, Thursday, Friday or Saturday.
We will be serving a product to a bunch of entertainment starved people many whom, will be short on cash. We are also going to be having to deal with whatever state restrictions that come about.
The touring situation is gonna be hell. New Covid strains raging, mask-less loonies running amok in different parts of the country, not sure anybody feels safe traveling. Who wants to deal with getting Covid from a truck stop on the PA turnpike? I’m not about to have anybody do anything I wouldn’t do myself , but getting on a plane and flying to do a couple of gigs isn’t an option either.

Just wanted to know everybody’s thoughts.
